Adding a Prospect

There are two way you can manually add a Prospect to FI Works.

Add Button

  1. To add a new prospect, click on the Add menu in the upper right corner of any page and select Prospect.

Leads & Prospects

  1. Go to Leads & Prospects under the Sales menu
  2. Click the Add Prospect button

Entering Prospect Information

  1. Enter the company name. If this is person and not a company leave this field blank.
  2. Enter name, address, and contact information. When entering fields that have an arrow at the left, you make enter the first few characters of data or click on the arrow to select from a list.
  3. Click Next to proceed.
  4. If the new prospect information does not match an existing customer, lead, or prospect, it will be saved.
  5. If the prospect information that you entered matches an existing customer or prospect, the Prospect Duplicate Check screen is displayed.
  6. If the new prospect is actually an existing customer, lead or prospect, click the check box next to the appropriate item.
  7. If the new prospect is not the same as the possible matches listed, click the “None of the above” check box.
  8. If you selected an existing customer or prospect, you are given the option to add an opportunity.
  9. Click Add a New Prospect to immediately add the prospect
  10. Or, Click Add a New Prospect with an Opportunity to add the prospect and create a new opportunity at the same time.
