Drilling Down

In most cases, you can click on data in a table or chart to drill to a lower level of detail. You have the option of seeing record-by-record data or a suggested drill-down path.

Example 1 - Maps

  1. Click on Customer Location under Dashboards - Customers.
  2. Click on a circle on the map.
  3. Click on the Active Customers measure to see the detail.

In this example, there are 35 active customers that live at the location indicated by the latitude and longitude.

Click on the number of active customers to see all 35 Detail Records.

Example 2 - Bar Chart

  1. Click on Customer Trends under Dashboards - Customers.
  2. Click on one of the bars in the Opened vs Closed chart.

In this example, the bar in the chart represents a month with 223 closed customers for the month of January. You can click on the number of closed customers (223) to see all 223 records.

Since a month can be broken down by week or day, you also see options to drill into these levels. This shows the same chart for the selected month (January) broken down by week.

Example 3 - Drill Down on Account ID

When you see a customer name, prospect name, or Account ID, in a table, the text color is blue. This indicates that you can click the link to go to related content.

  1. Click on Account ID in a table visualization to show related links.
  2. Select a link to go to that page.

The customer name, prospect name and account ID all have a link to go to the related profile page. There may be additional links to other dashboards. In this example, you can go to a related dashboard to show the Account History dashboard.
