# Relationship Types

The Relationship Type is used when an additional contact record is added to a customer or prospect. If the additional contact information is on the customer or prospect themselves, it should be left empty. You can manage Relationship Types under the Setting menu:

Default values are:

- Accountant
- Attorney
- COI
- Family Member
- Financial Advisor
- Trustee
